Traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls' slender, oval shape inspired designer Kai Linke for his Kokeshi lamp series. The stylized versions of the carved wooden toy figurines combine an irregularly shaped ceramic torso with a silky, shimmering glass head in white or dark gray that diffuses indirect light. The blow lamp is produced from hand-blown glass and ceramics. Bubbles, streaks, and other variations in size and color are part of the production process and not defects of the design or production. Three versions at 150, 112 or 75 cm height can freely be combined with each other and create visual highlights in any environment.
